Samantha Farabee, DVM
Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, Samantha Farabee, DVM, has been obsessed with horses since she was about 2 years old. She first swung a leg over a pony at the age of 6 and has not stopped since then. Her first experiences were taking lessons at a local Saddlebred show barn, then developed into leasing a Tennessee Walker for a number of years while also riding on her high school’s IEA and college IHSA teams, introducing her to the world of hunter/jumpers. She graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in 2014 and promptly travelled to St. Kitts and Nevis to enroll at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, filling her clinical year at Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduating in 2018. She has been working with Performance Equine since graduation. Dr. Farabee’s interests include lameness workups, rehabilitation, and emergency care. When not at the track, Dr. Farabee enjoys retraining and rehabbing ex-racehorses at her farm. Check out Tanglewood Farm & Stable for more info!
